Part-time residents who close up their homes for lengthy periods often come back to problems they never foresaw.  We can help alleviate some of them for you.

Most water systems use rubber seals, which can dry out and crack during times of non-use.  Your irrigation may be one of those systems; also washers, dishwashers, and toilets.   Your sewage system is another concern.  The drains under tubs, showers, toilets and sinks depend on water sitting in the traps to prevent fumes from backing up into the home.  That water evaporates in an empty house, leaving sewage pipes wide open.

We can set up a monthly schedule to help prevent these problems, either with a key you provide or through a trustee, like a realtor, who holds the key for you.  Generally, our service includes touring the home inside and out and running each faucet and appliance for a minimum time.  This helps keep rubber seals lubricated and drain traps properly filled. 

We are also an added line of home security.  Potential concerns like storm damage, signs of rodent or bug infestation, or an unlocked door or window can be documented and quickly relayed to you so you can get the help you need.
